$65.00 Members, $80.00 Non-Members - As a part of the OSHA Outreach Training Program, the 10 or 30 Hour Construction Course provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces as they relate to occupations in the construction industry. The course also provides information regarding workers rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. This course is presented by OSHA-authorized trainers. The 10 hour class is intended for entry level workers, while the 30 hour class is more appropriate for supervisors and employers with safety management responsibilities. This course is designed to ensure that employees and employers and more knowledgeable about workplace hazards along with employer and employee rights and responsibilities. In Nevada, this is a mandatory program for any person who actually performs physical work at a construction site that results in the construction, alteration or destruction involved within the construction project, including painting and decorating; and/or all employees who supervise any persons engaged in the work listed above. This generally does not include maintenance and repair work, but would include all new construction, work that requires a change in design, and building additions to existing structures.
